Ensuring ERPs fully support the value of Shared Services – the value for business leaders

Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERPs) have been used widely by large and mid-sized companies to help them implement efficient processes. However, due to the way that many systems have been adapted and implemented to an individual organisation in early years, companies are now facing the same issues that they did with other legacy or heritage systems. Over the past couple of years many providers of ERP systems have evolved significantly taking on board many of the incremental changes that have been created to support client organisations. In fact, today ERPs provide a comprehensive suite of services that can fully support any client’s processes and organisation structures, including Shared Services and BPO – and combinations thereof (“hybrid” service delivery models).
