Atos Consulting to benchmark DWP’s finance shared service operations

Atos Consulting are undertaking a benchmarking project on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) covering their financial shared services operations. DWP are seeking operational comparison and insights for continuous improvement.

DWP’s financial Shared Services include Accounting Services, Benefits Payments, Debt Management and Payables; the scale of Benefits Payments and Uniqueness of Debt Management make these a particular challenge for benchmarking.  Atos Consulting will use process decomposition, activity analysis and best practice assessments to baseline and benchmark the service delivery.  

Atos Consulting’s benchmarking methodology, web-based tools and network of partners, clients and organisations will be employed to deliver benchmark metrics, workshops and ongoing performance measurement. The project encourages focused exchange with other organisations around service metrics, delivery and process improvement.
