Global Market Brief: A Time for Reflection on U.S. Trade Pacts?

According to Stratfor, a private intelligence company delivering in-depth analysis, assessments and forecasts on global geopolitical, economic, security and public policy issues, the Central American Free Trade Agreement -- just approved by Costa Rican voters -- will likely be one of the last major trade initiatives the United States accomplishes for several years because this agreement and the lingering effects of the North American Free Trade Agreement invoke the ire of U.S. labor and fan the flames of the United States' growing populist movement.
