According to Everest research, India represents the largest global sourcing market with a size of around US$30 billion in a global sourcing market that has grown rapidly to reach a size of US$63-68 billion. Adoption has reached significant proportions, but there is still ample room for further growth.
While captives have pioneered the offshore BPO market in India, there is a strong perception in the market that the captive business model is under threat. Also, there are reports that suggest that captives are not delivering value and/or that third-party suppliers are maturing, thereby posing a threat to the captive model.
