NHS Shared Business wins 6-Yr F&A outsourcing deal from NHS

NHS Shared Business Services, a joint venture between the Department of Health and Xansa, has signed a $38 (est.) million, six-year contract to provide Finance and Accounting (F&A) and payroll services to NHS Professionals, the special health authority, which provides staffing solutions to NHS organizations.
Under the contract, NHS Shared Business Services will deliver payroll processing and F&A services to NHS Professionals' 58,000 flexible workers, customers and suppliers.
This contract will integrate the NHS' largest single payroll operation with NHS Shared Business Services' existing NHS payroll service. Outsourcing the F&A and payroll services will enable NHS Professionals to reduce its back-office costs and take advantage of enhanced F&A functionality.
