Global knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) firm Evalueserve is preparing to launch a Latin American delivery center in Chile, and believes the country could represent 10% of global revenues by 2008, Evalueserve's Chile country manager Mohit Srivastava told BNamericas. The company's service offerings include investment research, business research, market research, intellectual property research and data analytics.
The Chilean delivery center is expected to start operations in December 2006 with approximately 15 employees. Evalueserve expects to employ 120 professionals in Chile by 2008 and subsequently add around 60 professionals every year.
"US clients need real time support and from India it is hard to convince our highly qualified staff to work night shifts. So the first reason to come to Latin America was to work in the same time zone," Srivastava said.
To prepare for the launch Evalueserve ran a location attractiveness study in the region, studying Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica and Chile. Chile also won out because of its social, political and economic stability and stable inflation, which gives the company a better idea of costs in the future.
Evalueserve has served more than 600 clients worldwide covering multiple industry segments, including the financial services, hi-tech, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, energy, consumer goods, automotive and manufacturing industries.
