SRA International, Inc., a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to federal government organizations, announced that it has been awarded a competitive task order by the U.S. General Services Administration's Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM).
The SRA team will provide the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) with a broad range of information technology services to develop and maintain a new system to improve the procurement, delivery, and management of commodities for domestic and foreign food assistance programs operated throughout the world. The SRA team includes Accenture and six small businesses: ECCO Select; M.K. Brown Consulting; Preferred Systems Solutions, Inc.; The Talmadge Group, Inc.; TSymetry, Inc.; and World Perspectives, Inc. The performance-based task order, awarded under the Millennia contract, has an estimated value of $90.5 million over five years if all options are exercised.
(Article continues below)Four USDA agencies, as well as the U.S. Agency for International Development, manage commodity distribution programs serving over 30 million Americans and 280 million people abroad. The Web-based supply chain management system designed and maintained by the SRA team will support the annual purchase of over $2.4 billion in commodities and improve service for customers, suppliers, and business partners. SRA team services will include program management; requirements analysis; integration of commercial off-the-shelf products; systems design, development, and integration; information security; operations and maintenance; and training.
