US Air Force expands its original outsourcing contract with CSC

Computer Sciences (CSC) has won an additional $378 million to a previous outsourcing contract with the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Combat Support System.
The value of the entire contract (including the initial $250 million deal) which has a 21-month base period with options for another 57 months, will total $628 million if all options are exercised.
(Article continues below)Under the contract, CSC will be the prime systems integrator and will help the Air Force transform its supply chain, providing services like logistics business process redesign and enterprise resource planning. The Air Force will retire more than 400 legacy systems after the implementation is complete.
