The UK's Financial Services Authority (FSA) has awarded a multi-year contract to overhaul its information systems (IS) division to a joint bid from Capgemini, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Xansa.
The FSA conducted an IS effectiveness review of the unit in 2005 and concluded that it needed to transform its technology operations.
Darryl Salmons, IS director at the FSA says following tthe revamp, the FSA will be able to deliver a large portfolio of business applications more effectively.
"The agreement enables us to strengthen the alignment with our business priorities and will give us the flexibility to meet the challenges facing a modern regulator," adds Salmons.
