Morrison & Foerster (MoFo) has bolstered its UK outsourcing practice with the hiring of Lawrence Graham partner Jon Edgell.
Edgell resigned from Lawrence Graham on Monday (17 July) and the firm announced his departure internally on Wednesday (19 July).
He will become MoFo’s third outsourcing partner in London alongside outsourcing head Alistair Maughan and David Skinner.
Edgell, who joined Lawrence Graham from Tite & Lewis in 2001, has worked with clients including Lloyds TSB, Norwich Union and Cathay Pacific. He has advised on outsourcing, IT, data protection and e-commerce as well as many Indian offshoring deals.
According to Maughan, "Jon is the first significant lateral hire we have made since we joined and we are looking for others in London and the US. We will continue to round out our IT and outsourcing practice — the likelihood is that the next UK candidate after Jon will have a broader technology practice."
His appointment comes shortly after the US firm expanded its Hong Kong outsourcing practice with the hiring of Nigel Stamp and Gordon Milner from Bird & Bird.
