The Shared Services and Business Process Outsourcing Association (SBPOA) today announced it has been appointed program director for The Conference Board’s Shared Services, Strategic Outsourcing and Six Sigma conferences in the United States. The SBPOA is the only association devoted to facilitating collaboration among its global member base of executives focused on shared services and BPO-oriented business transformation. Working as a global, independent membership organization, The Conference Board conducts research, convenes conferences, makes forecasts, assesses trends, publishes information and analysis, and brings executives together to learn from one another.
Since the SBPOA began running The Conference Board’s Shared Services conference in the U.S. in 2004, the conference has experienced more than a two-fold increase in paid delegate attendance. Based on these results – as well as its in-depth knowledge of the hot topics and the strong relationships it has with luminaries in the business processes delivery industry – The Conference Board engaged SBPOA to program direct its 2007 Strategic Outsourcing and Six Sigma conferences.
In its role as program director, SBPOA establishes themes for these conferences, selects speakers, secures sponsors and ensures delegates receive optimum value from attendance through quality of presentations and significant networking opportunities with peers and presenters.
The 2006 Shared Services conference is being held on October 30-31 at the Westin Chicago River North. The 2007 Strategic Outsourcing conference will be at the Westin Times Square in New York City on May 2-4, 2007. The 2007 Six Sigma conference will likely be held in Chicago in April 2007.
The SBPOA does not issue formal “Call for Papers” for its conference speakers. Instead, those individuals and organizations interested in speaking at or sponsoring one or more of these conferences are encouraged to send a paragraph description and “take-away” bullet points on proposed sessions to: jolie.newman@sharedxpertise.org.
