Morgan Chambers – Europe’s leading Sourcing advisory firm – is pleased to announce the appointment of Veli Pohjolainen to the position of Director. Veli is an experienced Sourcing practioner with over 30 years of industry experience. Veli joins
Morgan Chambers from Tietoenator, (the leading IT Services company in the Nordic region) where he was a member of the Executive Committee responsible for developing the company’s strategy.

Prior to this position he was the head of Tietoenator’s banking and finance sector with more than 2,000 employees and responsibility for 500 customers globally. In addition, he had the management responsibility for Tietoenator’s Russian business. Veli’s appointment is a strategic move for Morgan Chambers in order to address the growing markets of the Nordics, Baltics and Russia.

As well as strengthening the fast growing Nordic practice, Veli will be responsible for the growth of Russia and the Baltic region as a near-shore solution for clients looking for an alternative to offshoring locations such as India. These markets are seeing increasing demand particularly from clients in the Nordic region, but also from other European organisations looking to balance their global operating model.

Furthermore, Veli's appointment will support the increased demand for advice in the Russian domestic market – a largely untapped market that is now looking for Sourcing solutions to enable it to compete on the global stage.
