ASG outsourcing feeds strong first-half results

Australian IT service provider, ASG Group, is forecasting a bumper first-half year result, predicting a 60 per cent increase in revenue to $26 million by the end of December, due in large part to its outsourcing deals.
ASG struck a $2.2 million contract with the federal Department of Finance and Administration (DOFA) in August to replace its existing email, file, print, management and directory services environment. It was also selected as a preferred supplier for the WA Office of Shared Services (OSS).
"We are taking all of its transactional systems - HR, finance, payroll - out of the individual agencies and into a shared services environment," said ASG managing director and CEO, Geoff Lewis. The company would continue to work on a host of government projects and had further acquisition plans, he added.
The company beefed up its national presence over the past year by scooping up Exceed System Integration for $10.2 million, as well as Oracle provider, Assist.
