Manchester - One of the best business cities in Europe. The Bank of New York is one of the latest companies to recognise the business benefits of Manchester, with a new office in the city centre acting as a main operations and servicing centre for the company. The Manchester facility will become a centre of excellence for the support of global custody, fund accountancy and similar banking operations.

The city-region offers an experienced labour resource, with a wide range of business process excellence skills. Phase One of the operation will create 350 new jobs by 2006.
