Hewitt Associates, a global human resources services firm, announced today it is delivering HR business process outsourcing (BPO) services to Rohm and Haas Company (NYSE:ROH). The HR BPO deal is in addition to the companies' long-standing benefits outsourcing and HR consulting relationship.

Rohm and Haas signed a contract with Hewitt to provide HR BPO services in July 2005 and began a transition, now completed, to deliver HR BPO services including payroll, HR service center, leave administration and tuition reimbursement to more than 12,000 Rohm and Haas employees in the U.S. and Canada. Hewitt has provided benefits outsourcing services to Rohm and Haas since 1993 and HR consulting services since 1988.

"Hewitt has been our HR partner for nearly two decades," said Steve Hallett, director, HR Shared Services and Operations at Rohm and Haas. "Given the success of our existing partnership, it's only natural to extend our relationship to include broader HR services. As a result, we're able to focus our attention on HR strategies and issues core to achieving our business goals."

"Rohm and Haas came to us with a challenge and together we've successfully transitioned its HR services in record time," said Mary Sales, HR Outsourcing account executive at Hewitt. "We're honored to expand our relationship and deliver our HR expertise and quality service to Rohm and Haas and its employees."

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Hewitt announced the Rohm and Haas contract as an anonymous client on its Fiscal 2005 Third Quarter Earnings conference call in August 2005.
