Progeon s.r.o, a subsidiary of Progeon Ltd, one of India’s leading business processing outsourcing companies, has completed its first phase of operations in Brno in the Czech Republic. This is the first significant project in this field in the Czech Republic by an Indian company. The centre will provide its clients with end-to-end process management services in multiple languages.

“The Czech Republic is an attractive destination for companies like ours that hope to reach a wide European market,” said Akshaya Bhargava, managing director and CEO, Progeon Ltd. “Brno has excellent infrastructure and facilities, a supportive government, and people with multiple language skills.

It was the Regional Development Agency South Moravia, non-profit based association of legal entities - The Southern Moravia Region , The Association of Southern Moravian Municipalities and the Regional Chamber of Commerce of South Moravia, who assisted to the investor in site selection for the centre. Progeon thus managed to rent an A-class office space in the very heart of the Brno city. The company currently employs 80 people and provides all its services in sixteen European languages.

“Progeon’s centre will offer a broad range of career opportunities for hundreds of people from Brno and vicinity. It will also provide work for new university graduates,” said Tomáš Bohrn, head of CzechInvest’s department of strategic projects, and added: “Everywhere in the world today a greater and greater part of company operations are being outsourced, i.e. by hiring specialists who are able to perform certain processes and activities far more efficiently. This includes for example – Sales Order Management, Finance & Accounts and Banking & Insurance back-office work. This branch thus is exhibiting considerably dynamic development, which only underlines the significance of this project.”
