MWH Global opens shared services center in Colorado

International engineering and construction firm MWH Group Inc. has opened a new Shared Services Center in Westminster, Colorado to house the company's U.S. financial and accounting functions.
MWH, a private company with 2003 revenues of about $1 billion, focuses on infrastructure projects in the water and energy industries. It has 170 offices around the world.
The opening of the Shared Services Center will create about 40 new jobs for Colorado residents. The MWH Shared Services Center will provide all major financial and accounting functions for MWH's U.S. operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and financial reporting.
"We expect the new Shared Services Center to help us better serve our clients and 2,300 U.S. employees," Mike Hanf, assistant chief financial officer for MWH, said in a statement.
MWH provides engineering design and remediation, construction, procurement, program management, and technology solutions for the environmental, land, water, wastewater, energy and power markets of the Americas, Europe, Middle East, India, Asia and the Pacific Rim.
