Alsbridge, the premier global Outsourcing and Insourcing advisory firm, announced the appointment of industry expert Peter Scott as the Global Head of its new Finance & Accounting Practice.
As Finance & Accounting Outsourcing continues to be the fastest growing segment within Business Process Outsourcing, and organizations review their options for in-house solutions, Alsbridge has made this appointment to meet growing demand from its clients.The new Finance & Accounting Practice will focus on helping clients to reach the right sourcing decisions and to exploit fully the options that are now available. Recent projects for global clients have addressed issues such as helping to negotiate outsourcing deals, optimizing in-house shared service centre performance, and assessing the relative business cases for insourcing/outsourcing. An innovative new service, not available elsewhere, optimizes in-house shared service centre performance by putting in place the characteristics of an outsourced centre that is run as a business.
Peter Scott, European Partner and Global Head of the Finance & Accounting Practice said, "Sourcing decisions for Finance & Accounting are much more complex than they used to be as there are many more options available now. We are helping global clients navigate the maze to define and implement an optimal sourcing strategy, which could involve in-house shared services, process automation, outsourcing or even a combination thereof. Prior to Alsbridge, Peter Scott worked for KPMG for 17 years, including six years as a partner, where he specialized in finance process improvement. He also led KPMG"s large and successful World Class Finance team, which included major pan-European shared service centers for blue chip clients. With Alsbridge he has worked on both the solution and commercial aspects of a number of Finance & Accounting outsourcing deals, all of which have involved multiple processes in many different countries.
