Indian outsourcing pioneer looking to outsource to Hungary

In a move revealing the increasing maturity of the outsourcing market, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a pioneering Indian IT and BPO services company, will be investing in Hungary to expand its international outsourcing operations.
TCS had first opened a software center in Hungary in 2001 and plans to hire about 700 new workers over the next three years to take the total staff to more than 1,000.Hungary had been chosen over Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania because it offered a good infrastructure, a firm currency, a stable political environment and a highly skilled, multi-lingual workforce.
The company is also planning to establish one more development center in Eastern Europe – either in Poland, Russia or Romania - employing more than 500 people.
The move highlights the importance of eastern Europe in the global BPO industry, especially for centers serving continental western Europe. Outsourcing specialists with east European operations include Accenture, IBM and Cap Gemini.
