SBPOA and HP launch 'F&A Transformation' Survey

The Shared Services and Business Process Outsourcing Association (SBPOA), the world’s only independent commentator on shared services and BPO industry, today announced the launch of its “F&A Transformation” survey. This first-of-its kind survey – produced in association with Hewlett-Packard – will gather extensive data to help organizations better understand the best – and worst – practices associated with transforming their finance & accounting (F&A) operations through shared services and/or outsourcing.
The survey is being launched on-site at the SBPOA’s “Finance & Accounting Shared Services and BPO” conference, beginning today in Copenhagen, Denmark. Others interested in participating in the survey may do so electronically through Friday 17th June by going to the following URL: http://www.sharedxpertise.org/fandasurvey.php All respondents will receive the survey results as well as a discount of EUR 300 on attendance at the SBPOA’s “F&A Transformation Conference” being held in London on 13th September, 2005.The key objectives of the survey – which itself centers on how shared services, outsourcing and innovative metrics are shaping the requisite “new” F&A operation – are to:
* Examine the progress of F&A transformation according to company size, location and vertical industry
* Assess the role of shared services and outsourcing in transforming the F&A function
* Evaluate the most effective measures used to monitor F&A transformation
* Determine the extent to which organizations utilize external partners to assist in their transformation.
The major sections in the survey are:
* General F&A transformation
* F&A transformation tool
* Measuring F&A transformation
* F&A transformation partners
* Demographics on the respondent and their organization.
