ACS announces Brian Stones joins to lead European operations

Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., a premier provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, announced today that Brian Stones has joined the company's senior leadership team and will oversee ACS operations in Europe.

Stones joined ACS Commercial Solutions as Senior Vice President, ACS Europe. In his new position he will enhance the company's ability to expand European operations and pursue new business in the European outsourcing market. ACS currently has a significant European presence in Barcelona, Spain, and Cork, Ireland, with business process outsourcing (BPO) and information technology (IT) shared services centers supporting BPO services such as finance and accounting, and human resources outsourcing, as well as IT services. The company has other offices in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, ACS is working to expand its European presence and will soon open new offices in Eastern Europe and other key locations.

"The European market is of great significance to ACS. Brian's thought leadership and background in BPO and consulting, along with his knowledge of the European outsourcing market, make him a tremendous addition to our leadership team," said Jeff Rich, ACS chief executive officer."We will continue to grow our market leadership position, global footprint, and European business, and I am confident Brian will help us achieve these strategic objectives."

Long a pioneer in building global outsourcing capabilities, ACS has more than a decade of experience deploying global production centers with 750 offices and more than 47,000 employees worldwide. The company plans to expand into other key locations in the near future and Europe is a significant part of its strategic growth plan. Currently, nearly one-third of ACS employees work from international locations.

Stones brings to ACS a wealth of BPO and consulting experience. Prior to joining the company he served as a Vice President for Capgemini, where he led the creation of global account relationships with blue chip clients of that firm. Before that Stones was a senior partner at Ernst & Young's Management Consulting practice where he led the creation of the Global Client Consulting organization, focusing on the development of a portfolio of the most important international clients of the firm. He has had extensive international business experience, having been based in the United States, France, and Finland, as well as the United Kingdom. Stones has carried out assignments throughout Europe, the Americas, Asia, and in South Africa. He holds degrees in business science and economics. Stones will be based in London, England.
