Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., (CCE), the world’s largest marketer, distributor, and producer of bottled and canned liquid nonalcoholic refreshment, is expanding its Shared Services Center in Tampa Bay.

The company’s financial services center will create 200 new jobs in Hillsborough County. Coca-Cola is investing nearly $2.4 million in the renovation of 25,000 sq. ft. of existing space and the purchase of new business equipment.

The multi-million dollar facility in Brandon, which opened in 2002, employs nearly 630 people, who are responsible for financial accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and check processing for the entire North American Group of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc.

The Shared Services Center will employ over 800 individuals by March 2005. This new operating unit will include credit administration, collections and accounts receivable, as well as financial service and support to the customers of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., in the Eastern United States.

In addition to the Shared Services Center, other Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., facilities in Tampa Bay include the Florida Division Headquarters in Temple Terrace, a production facility in Tampa, a sales center in St. Petersburg, and a Customer Development Center also in Temple Terrace, which began operations in 2003 and handles inside sales and customer support for the North American Group of Coca-Cola Enterprises.

With the new positions at Shared Services, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., hopes to employ more than 2,000 individuals in Tampa Bay-area alone and more than 5,500 individuals in the state of Florida.
