ESIS selected as supply chain automation provider by CapOneSource Alliance

ESIS has been chosen as the sole direct materials supply chain automation provider for CapOneSource, a shared services alliance founded by Lam Research, Credence Systems, Mattson Technology and Varian Semiconductor.
ESIS was selected after the company's successful implementation at Lam Research, which uses the company's Harmony Order Management System (HOM) to exchange customized purchasing documents with over 250 suppliers."We're delighted to be part of CapOneSource," said Carol Ulrich, director of sales for ESIS. "Since so many suppliers to the semiconductor industry already use ESIS, CapOneSource members can look forward to rapid implementation and high supplier acceptance when they outsource to ESIS."
CapOneSouce offers its members special pricing from selected vendors for services that are outside the companies' core competencies. CapOneSource, which currently has 23 members from the semiconductor industry, expects to enroll 200 in the alliance by the end of 2004. Along with ESIS, the list of selected CapOneSource vendors includes IBM, PriceWaterhousecoopers, Seimens and Menlo.
