If you are like most organizations that utilize Shared Services, you spend considerable amounts of money each year obtaining internal and external metrics to gauge the effectiveness of your Shared Service Centers. Yet, you may have found that metrics alone often fail to provide the level of detail needed to appropriately evaluate the success of your shared services operation. Numbers alone do not tell the whole story. Understanding the processes and practices behind the numbers is the key to identifying real performance improvement opportunities.
Join the American Productivity & Quality Center (APQC), a leading provider of benchmarking and best-practice information, for a set of collaborative studies focusing on select shared services activities. Individuals from organizations looking to improve their shared services functions, network, discuss solutions with others in the field, and get the most out of their benchmarking dollar are invited to study one or all of the following functional areas:- Accounting
- Facilities Management
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Internal Audit
- Regulatory Services
Within each functional area, or study track, participants will focus on seven aspects of shared services including:
- Strategy
- Pricing, allocations, and chargebacks
- Staffing levels
- Service levels
- Technology
- Measurement
- Sustainability
Launching this fall, each study track will span three months, from a kickoff conference call to site visits (two per track) to a concluding knowledge transfer session at which a final report will be shared. This is a unique opportunity to access APQC's proven methodology in a "fast track" setting. To find out more about participating in one or more of these valuable studies, please click here or call +1 800-776-9676 or +1 713-681-4020.
