More Australian firms outsourcing tax administration tasks

Four out of ten Australian companies are outsourcing their tax administration, according to a survey by consultancy DUN & BRADSTREET. The figure has surged from 25 per cent before the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax [GST] in July 2000, the survey said.
Dun & Bradstreet Australian and New Zealand chief executive Christine Cullen said it expected tax outsourcing to stay at current levels over the next 12 months.She said outsourcing as a whole was up by 15 per cent in the past year and total outsourcing revenue had risen by $A300 million (US$170.82 million) per year over the last four years.
